System Level Updates

• As a System Admin, you can get a System Level updates like Salesforce Connection updates or expiry, etc. to dedicated channel you select while authorising Gyaan App for Slack. More updates in next step "Installation instructions for Slack Admins".

  
  

Installation instructions for Slack Admins

To use Gyaan App for Slack, your Slack admin may need to setup a Slack integration. Slack Admin can chose to pre-approve Gyaan App for Slack. For more details please refer Slack Guide here. This is one-time activity. After that, each Gyaan user will have access to use Gyaan from Slack.

1. Login to the Gyaan Web App.
   
   
2. Go to Settings → Integrations → Integration for Slack and click on Connect
   
   
   
3. Authorize Gyaan App for Slack by selecting Slack Channel. The Slack Channel selected on the approval screen will be used to send the Gyaan Application level updates meant for Administrator. 
   

Installation instructions for Users

By connecting an deal to a Slack channel, key notifications will be pushed to the Slack channel that will be visible to everyone that is part of the Slack Channel.

1. Login to the Gyaan Web App.
   
   
2. Login to the Gyaan.ai app and click on Pipeline in the left navigation bar. Select an Opportunity that you want to connect to a Slack Channel.
   
   
   
3. Click on the Slack icon at the top bar and select a Slack Channel you would like to connect.
   
   
   
4. The user will get an "Integration successful" message.

Control Direct Messages

Note: Personal notifications will only be received if the user's Slack email matches their Gyaan email.

1. Login to the Gyaan Web App.
   
   
2. Go to Settings → My Profile.
   
   
3. Enable / Disable the Direct Slack Message.
